V.P.Mahawar ONGC’s new asset manager in Tripura

Agartala, Aug 03, 2012 : V P Mahawar, Group General Manager of ONGC, has taken over the charge of Asset Manager-ONGC Tripura on Thursday here in Agartala.

According to a communiqué released by ONGC , V.P. Mahawar, a Bachelor of Engineering (MECH) from Ravishanker University, Raipur (Chhattisgarh) joined ONGC in April 1982 as Assistant Executive Engineer (Drilling) at Mumbai and rose to the position of Group General Manager (GGM) after serving in various capacities in different regions, work-Centers of ONGC like Mumbai Offshore, Chennai offshore, Institute of Drilling Technology, Assam, Ahmedabad, etc and has vast experience in Drilling, Project Management, Engineering, Crisis Management activities of ONGC. 

Mahawar has more than 30 years of oil field experience in various capacities. He is the first subsea engineer of ONGC and won CMD’s Young Executive of the year award in the year 1987. He is also a recipient of CMD’s Manager of the year award in the year 1998. 

Widely acclaimed for his expertise in Drilling Technology & Operations, as well as well services prior to joining Tripura Asset as the Asset Manager, Mr. Mahawar was Head Crisis Management Team-Corporate, ONGC at Ahmedabad. 

Earlier accompanied by the outgoing Asset Manager,K Satyanarayana, Mahawar called on the Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, to apprise him about ONGC’s ambitious plans contributing towards future growth of the state. Seeking all round co-operation, he reiterated that the Asset is fully committed to its Mission of achieving 6 MMSCMD gas supply for the upcoming Power Plants and in realizing Tripura’s dream of growth and development. Mahawar also called on S K Panda, Chief Secretary, Sanjay Sinha, DGP.
