Agartala, Jul 15, 2012 : The all India Youth Congress Committee has started scrutiny of its membership drive in Tripura in preparation for the upcoming organizational elections of Youth Congress.
Briefing media here at Congress Bhavan, Kunal Banerjee, central election observer, said that organizational poll will take place in the first week of August . An Indian Youth Congress (IYC) central team will stay here for the scrutiny process, Banerjee said.
They will scrutinize and also accept corrections in the member list including wrong placement of names, booths or assembly segments and all other mandatory fields for membership.
Banerjee said, there are more than 1 lakh registered members in Pradesh Youth Congress including women. The poll process had formally begun with its membership drive a month back and after publication of final voter list, the poll will be announced, said Banerjee adding that a new body of state Youth Congress will come up after elections.
