Agartala, Jul 14, 2012 : Tripura Pradesh Trinamool Congress today organized a mass ‘civil disobedience movement’ here at Agartala against the ‘misrule’ of Left Front government in Tripura.
Thousands of TMC workers from across the state participated in a mass procession through various thoroughfares of Agartala before their mass arrest at Joynagar bus stand area on Saturday noon.
TMC raised their slogans against the recent Tripura Board of joint Entrance Examination (TBJEE) scam, atrocities on women, rampant corruption including 21-point charter of demand.
Police said, altogether 2015 activists of TMC including state leaders were arrested during their civil disobedience movement.
