Agartala, Jul 19, 2012 : A visiting delegation of Indo-German Development Cooperation (IGDC) project started a review visit in the state today. The two-day long visit is scheduled to account for the implementation of IGDC project in Tripura for the last one year. The delegates visited several projects operational in Dhalai district and parts of North Tripura district throughout the day.
A courtesy meeting was held with Forest Minister Jitendra Chaudhury later today. Speaking to reporters at the civil secretariat here this evening, the minister said that the inspection team had expressed huge satisfaction at implementation of IGDC projects in the state. “They have lauded the wide expanse of FRA implementation in Tripura, which on the other hand, paves the way for better implementation of forest-based projects’, said he. IGDC is expected to submit a report on progress of its project in Tripura tomorrow.
