Agartala, Jun 07, 2012 : Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination(TBJEE) declared much awaited entrance results on Thursday afternoon.
TBJJE announced results in five separate merit lists under unreserved category, scheduled tribes, scheduled castes, ward of ex-serviceman and physically handicapped candidates of each group.
Under unreserved category 750 students were enlisted in the each group of PCM and PCB. Under ST category, a total of 364 candidates were enlisted in the merit list of PCM group, 500 more students in PCB group. Similarly, under SC category 250 students got positions in merit list under PCM and 250 more in PCB group. Under the ward of ex-serviceman category 15 students got merit position in PCM group and 22 students in PCB group. Six physically handicapped candidates were listed in the merit list for PCM group and 7 more candidates in PCB group.
Dr R Debnath, chairman of TBJEE in a press notification said, a total of 3700 students enrolled for the joint entrance examinations, among them only 3532 candidates appeared in the examinations.
In the unreserved category, Ratnadweep Saha secured top position in PCM group and Soma Dey topped in the merit list of PCB group.
In the ST category Vijay Debbarma got top position in PCM group and Parasmani Reang secured top rank in PCB group.
In the SC category, Diptanu Das got top position in PCM group and Sudip Sarkar topped in the merit list of PCB group.
TBJEE added that candidates will be issued nomination letters for various courses of study on the basis of their performances in the Tripura joint entrance examinations. For issuing of nomination letters a programme will be fixed for counselling and verification of original certificates, in which the candidates will have to present themselves with all original certificates. This year ‘Spot computerized Counselling’ (SCC) may be done for selection of candidate for issuing nomination letters. TBJEE will later announce the counseling date, time and venue through advertisements.
