Agartala, Jun 30, 2012 : Tripura has stressed for fast-track implementation of ongoing projects under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NRGA). An official communiqué of the state government stated that Jitendra Chaudhury, Minister for Rural Development asked all concerned officials tocomplete ongoing projects of the National Rural employee Guarantee Act (NREGA)within specified time-frame at a review meeting of ongoing projects at the newlyformed South Tripura district.
The review meeting held at the Civil Secretariat here yesterday resolved to ensure fast-track administrative approval for NREGA projects proposed from grampanchayat level.
District Magistrate of the newly formed South Tripura district informed the meeting that 18-20 mandays were generated in the district till June, 2012. Chairmen, Vice Chairmen of PanchayatSamity and Block Development Officers (BDO) were asked to monitorimplementation of the projects at regular basis. The minister also urged oncreation on block-wise mandays at par with the labour budget for currentfinancial year.
