Agartala, Jun 06, 2012 : The results for Common Entrance Test (CET) for the admission to MBBS course in Tripura Medical College and Dr B R Ambedkar Memorial Teaching Hospital has been declared on Wednesday afternoon.
Altogether 164 candidates were enlisted in the ‘General Merit list for open candidates’ and 296 more candidates were also enlisted in ‘General merit list for state domicile candidates’.
TMC’s chief executive Officer (CEO) Ashok Poddar said, altogether 495 candidates had enrolled for the CET but 460 candidates appeared in the examinations.
The CET was conducted on June 3 last at Central School, Kunjaban.
Poddar said that from state domicile merit list, a total of 70 candidates would be allowed for the admission to MBBS course as per merit list and 15 more candidates from general category list for open candidates.
Poddar added that 15 more seats would be given to Central pool.
In the merit list for state domicile, Soma Dey from Sri Krishna Mission school of Agartala got the top position with 84 marks; the second position was secured by Sagardeep Datta from Hindi H S School with 76 marks. Sagardeep is the only son of renowned journalist Sekhar Datta and Aloka Datta. The third position was also secured by another Hindi school student Shramana Ghosh with 75 marks.
From general merit list for open candidates Eesha Banerjee got the top position with 78 marks, Titirsha Kayal got second position with 77 marks and Anandarup Das secured third position with 72 marks.
