HS examinations begin in 67 venues across Tripura

Agartala, Mar 04, 2013 : Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) run Higher Secondary (HS+2) and HS-Fazial (Madrassa) examinations across the state commenced on Monday.

Altogether 24,189 students appeared for HS examinations including HS-Fazial this year.

Board president Dr Amitabha Debroy said students from 330 schools across the state will sit in HS examinations.

He said, a total of 3 students including female candidates from correctional home have also appeared in the HS examinations. They are all life time prisoners Bandana Paul, Pradip Sharma and Jiban Chandra Das. Earlier, Bandana also secured success in the Madhyamik examination from correctional home. Six more physically disabled including three blind students are also sitting in the HS examinations and 23 more students appeared in the examinations from HS-Fazial category. All the district administrations of Tripura have also imposed section -144 outside all 53 centers and 67 venues across the state to maintain law and order. So far, no untoward incident has been reported across the state.
